Kazakh President, U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia hold talks
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Special Envoy of the U.S. President to South and Central Asia Sergio Gor in Astana, Qazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.
The Head of State highlighted the strong level of Kazakh-American cooperation and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to deepening the expanded strategic partnership with the United States.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of the C5+1 dialogue on critical minerals, noting its strategic significance for Central Asia. He stressed Kazakhstan remains committed to further widening the expanded strategic partnership with the USA.
The Head of State conveyed his best wishes to President Trump and expressed gratitude for the invitation to the G20 Summit in Miami later this year.

In his turn, Sergio Gor thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the opportunity to meet and conveyed words of greetings from the U.S. President, Donald Trump.
He noted over 20 billion US dollars in agreements and deals were reached between the U.S. and regional states in the past year.
The parties also focused on joint trade and economic and investment projects, and priority sectors including critical minerals, transport, logistics, and digitalization.
During the meeting, special attention was given to the activities of the Board of Peace.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reaffirmed the country’s readiness to contribute to strengthening international stability and promoting humanitarian initiatives and global stability.
They shared views on pressing issues of the regional and global agenda and reaffirmed interest in deepening multifaceted Kazakhstan-U.S. cooperation.
Earlier, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein and the people of Jordan on the occasion of the country’s national holiday, the King’s Accession to the Throne Day.
