During the meeting, the sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding interaction between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

We attach great importance to developing cooperation with your country, which is among the world’s twenty largest economies. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, truly friendly ties have been formed, and interparliamentary dialogue has been developing steadily and very successfully, noted the Kazakh president.

Particular attention during the discussion was given to the countries’ shared historical ties. President Tokayev highlighted the contributions of the distinguished Polish ethnographer Adolf Januszkiewicz, who made a significant contribution to the study of Kazakh history, traditions, and culture.

Taking the opportunity, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev conveyed his warm greetings to Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska expressed her sincere gratitude to the Kazakhstani president for the hospitality extended to her.

It is a great honor for me to meet with you. This is my first visit to Kazakhstan, and it is of great significance. We have arrived during a very important period for the Polish people - the 90th anniversary of the deportation of our compatriots, whom the Kazakh people supported and helped during those difficult times. We share not only a common historical past but also promising prospects for the future. It is extremely important for us to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan, one of the key countries in this region, said the Marshal of the Senate.

Earlier, Qazinform reported Presidents of Kazakhstan and Montenegro – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Jakov Milatović – had extended talks in the Palace of Independence in Astana.
