Kazakh Parliament OKs bill on energy service companies

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Majilis, the lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament, has considered amendments made by the Senate to the draft law "On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On energy conservation and efficiency" at the plenary session on Wednesday.
According to MP Viktor Kiyansky, the amendments submitted by the Senate will not change the concept of the draft law. After discussion the members of the chamber assented to the proposals made by the Senate and endorsed the law. It envisages the introduction of a mechanism of energy service companies. Energy service company is a commercial business providing a broad range of energy solutions including energy conservation and efficiency.
