Kazakh model of interethnic and interreligious harmony gained international recognition
National issues are one of the central issues in the socio-political life and public consciousness of contemporary Kazakh society. The meeting discussed the problems and prospects of the country's national unity, transformation, multi-ethnic and multicultural society into a modern nation, united by shared values and symbols. It was noted that national consolidation as formation of new Kazakh patriotism has been defined by the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev as a priority of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy.
In general, the national situation in modern Kazakhstan is of a relatively high level of stability. The Kazakh model of interethnic and interreligious harmony has received international recognition. However, a high level of national unity and the formation of a civic nation are on the agenda of contemporary Kazakh society.
