Kazakh Mathematical Society convenes in Almaty

Nearly 200 eminent mathematicians from every corner of the country discussed the role of mathematical science in Kazakhstan and prospects for its development, relevant issues of the development of fundamental and applied mathematical research, inter subject communications and effective use of mathematical achievements in the applied innovative research that are of paramount importance for the country's development in line with the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy proposed by the Leader of the Nation - the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

World-class level of research and support of local research schools, international cooperation in the sphere of mathematical research were also touched upon at the forum. Utmost attention was paid to the problems and better ways of training of young researchers and mathematicians in Kazakhstan.

Mathematicians and members of the Kazakh Academy of Science Zhumagulov, Kalmenov, Otelbayev, Sadybekov and many others were among the speakers at the event.
