Kazakh karateka wins opening bout at 2026 Asian Games

Kazakh karateka Assel Kanai won the first bout at the now-running Asian Games 2026 in Japan, Qazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee.
In the first round, Assel Kanai beat Humaira Akter Antora from Bangladesh securing a convincing victory in the women’s 61 kg weight division.
To note, Kazakh karateka Zholaman Bigabyl won a gold medal at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
