Kazakh Foreign Minister met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State

ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM Yesterday Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov arrived in Chicago to participate in a meeting on Afghanistan during the NATO summit of heads of state and government, the MFA's press service said.
On Sunday, Kazykhanov met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Robert Blake to discuss the progress of implementation of the agreements that were reached by Nursultan Nazarbayev and Barack Obama during the 2nd Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul in March 2012. In this regard, the sides stressed the importance of carrying out in April 2012 in Washington the first meeting of the Commission on Strategic Partnership, which was established following a meeting between Kazykhanov and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on February 1, 2012 in Washington.
