Kazakh FM and French envoy discuss strategic partnership in Astana
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev on Friday received Ambassador of the French Republic Sylvain Guiaugué, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Kazakh MFA press service.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the Kazakh-French strategic partnership, including the further strengthening of political dialogue, the expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as the development of cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres. The parties also reviewed issues of cooperation within multilateral frameworks.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint investment and economic projects that are important for increasing bilateral trade and strengthening business contacts between the two countries.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the further development of multifaceted cooperation between Astana and Paris.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstan and the EU entered a new stage of talks on visa facilitation and readmission.
