Kazakh-British competitiveness center opened in Almaty (PHOTO)
"The international research center will be working in cooperation with scientists, businessmen, non-commercial organizations and state bodies. Increasing the research potential for strengthening of the competitiveness of Kazakhstan, rendering services in the sphere of corporate consulting, training and support of startup projects, etc. are the tasks of the center," dean of the Kazakh-British technical University business school Y. Simpson said.
The center is established thanks to the grant of the partnership program "Newton-Al-Farabi" which is financed by the governments of Kazakhstan and Great Britain.
Deputy Chief of Mission of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Kazakhstan Sarah Pickering took part in opening of the center and noted the importance of the event for the university and country in general.
