Kazakh karateka Assel Kanai propelled into the final at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, Qazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee.
In the semifinal, Assel Kanai defeated Cambodia’s Chakriya Vann 3:0 securing a spot in the final.
Earlier, Assel Kanai beat Humaira Akter Antora from Bangladesh claiming a convincing victory in the women’s 61 kg opening bout.
