IOC President Thomas Bach visits sport facilities in Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Almaty Akim Akhmetzhan Yesimov has met with the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, the press service of the city administration reports.
During the meeting the Mayor of Almaty noted that the city has the most developed sports infrastructure which includes 1 077 sport facilities. Two ice arenas with rinks and multipurpose athletic village for 5000 visitors will be built by the World Student Games 2017. In addition, Almaty Mayor and the IOC President visited the skating rink Medeo, the International Ski Jump Complex "Sunkar" and "Shymbulak" ski resort.
