Heads of National Banks of Kazakhstan and Switzerland discussed coop issues

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - A delegation of the National Bank of Switzerland paid its first official visit to Kazakhstan. Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov and Head of the National Bank of Switzerland Thomas Jordan held a meeting within the visit.

The sides exchanged their experience in conducting monetary policy in their countries. In particular, representatives from Switzerland held a presentation of the state and prospects of development of the financial market of their country and told about the tasks the financial sector of Switzerland would have to address in the nearest future, the press service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan informs.

"Improvement of the monetary policy in Kazakhstan is held on a regular basis. The National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to transit to the regime of inflation targeting, therefore the experience of the National Bank of Switzerland is very important for us," K. Kelimbetov said.

K. Kelimbetov also expressed the interest of the National Bank of Kazakhstan in close cooperation with the National Bank of Switzerland regarding all relevant issues of the monetary policy. The sides reached an agreement to continue to strengthen their relations.
