Half Million tenge collected to help children with disabilities

3,5 thousand people responded to the call of the organizers and have contributed to help the three children's institutions which needed equipment for disabled.

In Kazakhstan every 20th family takes care of children with disabilities. They are chained to beds and deprived of simple pleasures of everyday life. Their childhood passes day-and-date with endless droppers and painful injections, in a world without smiles and friendly support. But as soon as people give their helping hands life of the children instantly shines with new colors, say the organizers of the campaign.

Thus, the three agencies have been assisted in purchasing wheelchairs, specialized computers and other tools for children with varying degrees of disability.

The collected funds in the amount of KZT 1,431,177 were divided into three parts and directed to "Kuat" public association of disabled in Almaty region, "Samal" rehabilitation centre in Pavlodar and Urjar social health facility for children with musculoskeletal system malfunction. And for remaining money a new slide was installed on the territory of the baby house number 2 of Almaty city.
