France & Almaty intend to expand cooperation in tourism

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yesimov has received a delegation of French parliamentarians led by the deputy of the French Senate, the chairman of the friendship group "France - Central Asia" Andre Dyule, the press service of Almaty Akimat reported.
The Mayor noted that Almaty maintains a high level of cooperation with France. For example, last year the trade turnover between the city and France grew by 27%. There are 30 joint ventures and 85 companies with French capital in the city. Akim said that Almaty is developing tourism. The city is interested in the France's experience in the area of education. In turn, the French MPs noted the beauty of Almaty city, and stressed that the metropolis has good opportunities for the development of tourism industry and the Winter Olympics.
