FISU President and Sec Gen travel to Almaty

The purpose of the trip is to hold talks with the Almaty city authorities, ministers, debate preparations for holding the Winter University Games, the press service of the World Winter Universiade 2017 said. The goal of the commission of the International Technical Committee (CTI) led by its chair Roger Roth is to survey the progress of preparing for the sports event. They will visit the sports facilities, to value the existing sports venues and survey construction progress. The trip programme foresees also visits to the healthcare centres and national antidoping centre, inspection of organization of broadcasting and information technologies for the period of the Winter Games. Representatives of 11 countries of the world arrived in Almaty so far.
