FIFA World Cup 2026 final opens “dream job” vacancy for fans
American beer brandMichelob ULTRA has announced an unusual job opportunity for soccer fans ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, Qazinform News Agency reports.
The company, an official sponsor of the tournament, is looking for a “Chief Trophy Officer” — a person responsible for carrying the Superior Player of the Match trophy onto the field during the World Cup final.
The selected candidate will receive $90,000 for 90 minutes of work, as well as two tickets to the final match, which will take place on July 19, 2026, at the stadium in New York and New Jersey.
Applicants must be over 21 years old. To apply, candidates are required to submit a 90-second video explaining why they are the right fit for the role. Applications are open until May 29.
The campaign is being supported by American actor and comedian Kevin Hart, who described it as “possibly the best job in the world.”
The company also noted that the new Superior Player of the Match trophy was created in collaboration with artist Victor Solomon and will symbolize the tournament’s top-performing players. The award will be presented after every World Cup match based on fan voting.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that ticket prices for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final had surged to nearly $11,000, making it the most expensive World Cup final in history.
