EurAsEC PA to wrap up its work on Jan 1, 2015 - Majilis Speaker
He made the announcement at the EurAsEC PA session in Saint Petersburg on Thursday. Summing up results of the organization's work, the Chairman of the lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament said the parliamentary assembly and the EurAsEC itself will cease to exist after the Eurasian Economic Union will become effective on January 1, 2015. The Majilis Speaker also stressed the role the EurAsEC PA played in the work of the community. "Over the period of its existence the parliamentary assembly worked out and adopted more than 200 normative legal acts used by the EurAsEC member countries," he said. "Both the EurAsEC and EurAsEC PA were of paramount importance in strengthening cooperation between our countries," Mr. Dzhakupov told reps of the EurAsEC member states at the session.
