Construction begins on Tajikistan’s largest IT Hub in Dushanbe
Construction of IT Hub Dushanbe, the largest digital technology and innovation infrastructure project in Tajikistan, has officially begun, Qazinform News Agency reports.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new high-tech complex was attended by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan and the Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali.
The IT Hub Dushanbe complex will include an IT school, an IT Park, an Information Technology Business Center, and a Regional Artificial Intelligence Center.
According to a statement published on the mayor’s official Telegram channel, the project aims to advance the digital economy, expand the use of modern technologies, foster an information society, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy.
“The project will create a solid foundation for developing a new innovation-driven and digital environment in the country,” the statement said.

According to Khurshed Mirzo, Director of Tajikistan’s Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, the complex will span more than 53,000 square meters, with total investment estimated at $100 million.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) had discussed plans to expand cooperation in the energy sector, including potential investment in renewable energy and in infrastructure modernization projects.
