Constitution as the guarantor of reliability revived Kazakhstan: Almaty mayor Yessimov
The event brought together mayor of Almaty city Akhmetzhan Yessimov, heads of the urban structures, reps of public sector and other organizations. At the conference, Mr. Yessimov stressed the constitution adopted in 1995 helped open the way towards Almaty and Kazakhstan's sustainable development.
"The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the guarantor of steadiness and reliability has revived and continues to build up the new independent state. For instance, in comparison with 1995, the volume of industrial production, transport and communications in Almaty increased 10fold," the Almaty mayor stressed.
A. Yessimov also added that Kazakhstan is becoming one of the centers of world sports as it hosts such international sports events as the Winter Asian Games, for example. Almaty has recently bid to welcome the 2022 Winter Olympiad. This wouldn't be possible without public consent rooted in the constitution.
Besides, Almaty mayor expressed confidence that team spirit, hard work and observance of the constitution will help people of Kazakhstan implement all the tasks highlighted in the Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy.
