Charlie Kirk, Trump ally and U.S. conservative activist, shot during political performance in Utah
A prominent U.S. conservative political activist and Trump supporter, Charlie Kirk, was reportedly shot at Utah Valley University during a political event on September 10, according to U.S. media reports and public statements. The suspect was taken into custody, and the motive remains unclear, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Reactions followed across the political spectrum. Former President Donald Trump urged people on X (formerly Twitter) to pray for Kirk. California Governor Gavin Newsom condemned the attack as ‘disgusting, vile and reprehensible,’ and U.S. Vice President JD Vance also expressed support.
Kirk is a critic of the Democratic Party and a staunch supporter of conservative causes. The incident comes amid heightened concerns about political violence in the United States. Earlier this year, an intruder set fire to the Pennsylvania Governor’s residence, and in July 2024, an assassination attempt was made against Trump during the election campaign.
Earlier, it was reported that 7 people were injured in military base explosion in South Korea.
