Candidature of A. Yessimov for post of Mayor of Almaty approved

Secretary of the maslikhat of Almaty Kaldybai Kazanbayev read the telegram from President N. Nazarbayev at the sitting.

"Dear deputies, according to the Article 87 of the Constitution of Kazakhstan, I put forward a candidature of Akhmetzhan Yessimov for the post of the Mayor of Almaty. He has enough experience and potential. He has been working as a Mayor of Almaty since 2008. I ask you to approve the candidature," the telegram reads.

"I've just hear so many pleasant words about myself. The President recently noted that 20% of the country's economy is ensured by Almaty. Our share in the GDP is 20.7% and 28 thousand US dollars per capita. This is a good indicator. All spheres of Almaty are improving annually," A. Yessimov told at the at the sitting of the maslikhat.
