Barcelona open talks to sign Ballon d’Or winner Rodri from Manchester City
Barcelona have opened official negotiations with Manchester City over the transfer of Spain midfielder Rodri, Qazinform News Agency cites Informsports.kz.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan club is confident of completing the deal and is prepared to pay just over €45 million for the 30-year-old defensive midfielder.

Manchester City, however, are seeking a higher fee in direct negotiations, citing Rodri’s importance to the team.
According to the report, Rodri has expressed a desire to join Barcelona and has given preliminary approval for the move.
During the 2025/26 Premier League season, Rodri made 21 appearances for Manchester City, scoring one goal. He also played in five UEFA Champions League matches.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Real Madrid had officially announced the signing of 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig.
