At least eight killed in textile factory fire in China’s Guangdong

At least eight people were killed and one injured after a fire broke out at a textile factory in Foshan, in southern China’s Guangdong Province, local authorities said Monday, Qazinform News Agency cites Xinhua.

The fire started at around 3 p.m. on Sunday, according to officials.

Rescue and emergency response efforts remain underway as authorities continue to deal with the incident.

Earlier, it was reported 16 had been killed in Chile's nursing home fire.
