Astana to host International Anti-Nuclear Conference

ASTANA. August 25. KAZINFORM International conference "From the nuclear test ban to a world free of nuclear weapon" will be held on August 27-30 in Astana.

Jordanian parliamentarians headed by Member of Parliament Abdullah Ensour, Iranian delegation headed by Chairman of the foreign relations committee Hammam Hamoudi, Libyan Member of Parliament Samer Saade and the Arab Interparliamentary Union (AIPU) General Secretary Nour Eddine Bouchkouj will participate in the conference, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

The participation of parliamentary delegations of the Arab countries in the event organized by Kazakhstan indicates a growing prestige of Kazakhstan in the Middle East as well as the intention of the region's countries to strengthen bilateral relations, including the relations with Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's activity contributed to this including the significant role played by the presidency of Astana in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
