The memorandum aims at long-term cooperation in training and professional development of aviation specialists, exchange of professional and educational experiences, and the introduction of modern international training and flight safety standards.

The document was signed following a meeting between the airport management and a delegation from Kyungwoon University. The sides discussed ways to combine the airport's practical expertise with the university's educational expertise.

A key strategic goal of the partnership is to establish a cutting-edge training facility at the airport focused on flight safety and building the talent pool for Kazakhstan's aviation sector.

The joint efforts are expected to expand access to best educational practices for aviation specialists, enhance their professional competencies, and support the adoption of international standards in civil aviation.

According to the airport, the memorandum provides a practical framework for Kazakh-Korean cooperation in education and human capital development, laying the groundwork for further joint projects in the aviation sector.

It was reported earlier that Kazakhstan and Türkiye had agreed to expand air connectivity, increasing the number of permitted flights from 120 to 224 per week
