Asian powerlifting championship to be held in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - The first ever Asian Open Powerlifting Championship is set to take place in Almaty from April 21 through April 27, 2014.
Athletes from more than 10 countries have already confirmed their participation in the event, according to one of the co-organizers - Valikhan Ten. "The powerlifting championship is to promote healthy lifestyle, mass and professional sports," Mr. Ten said. Men and women of different age groups will partake in it. A bodybuilding tournament will be held as part of the powerlifting championship as well.
