The document was included on the agenda of the Armenian government’s meeting on August 20 under the item “On the Program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.” The draft program, its justification and an accompanying annex have been published on Armenia’s official electronic government portal.

According to the draft, the Armenian government intends to continue efforts to institutionalize and consolidate peace between the two countries. These measures include working toward the signing and ratification of the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as continuing the process of delimiting and demarcating the state border.

The program also calls for increased contacts between civil society organizations and business communities in Armenia and Azerbaijan, alongside efforts to expand bilateral trade.

However, the document does not specify when the increase in bilateral trade is expected to begin, provide projected trade volumes, or identify specific goods that could be included in future trade exchanges.

Earlier, Qazinform reported Azerbaijan, Armenia and the U.S. reaffirm commitment to implement peace agreements.
