Aqniyet and Borte: Kazakh President names newborn Akhal-Teke foals

Recently, two mares gave birth, and the herd of Akhal-Teke horses has been joined by new foals.

President Tokayev named the foals. The first foal was named Aqniyet, and the second – Borte.

The Head of State cited a Kazakh proverb: "Er jetılıp, bas bolar, tai jetılıp, at bolar" ("As a young man matures, he is destined to become a leader, just as a colt matures into a horse"), and wished for the foals to grow strong and fast.

In early May, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the stables of the Presidential Affairs Department, where he inspected the living conditions of the horses gifted to him over the years.
