Almaty welcomes spring with blooming snowdrops
Snowdrops, the first flowers of spring that symbolize nature's awakening, have blossomed in Almaty, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Photographer Mikhail Sorokoumov captured the delicate snowdrops blooming along Zhubanov Street in the city.
The first delicate shoots of these flowers were spotted in the mountains as early as mid-January.
These fragile plants are known for their beauty. They are often called the heralds of spring, as they emerge right after the snow melts, marking the end of winter.

Snowdrops are listed in Kazakhstan's Red Book because of the decline in their natural habitats. Damaging these protected plants can lead to fines or even imprisonment for up to three years.
As earlier reported, the first snowdrops were photographed in Shymkent.
