Almaty to welcome Father Frost Parade on Dec 28

According to organizers, more than one thousand participants dressed like Father Frost (aka Ded Moroz) will march the central streets of Almaty city congratulating residents and guests on the upcoming New Year. The organizers encourage anyone who feels like it to join the parade. The parade route will run from the Abai Street to Satpayev Street and end near ADK shopping mall. A huge flash mob will be arranged to wrap up the parade. All participants will be treated to food and drinks after the event. The Santa Claus parades are traditionally held across the globe since 1905.
