Almaty to step up bilateral cooperation with India
During the meeting, Mr. Yessimov hailed fruitful cooperation between Almaty and India. To date, there are 71 joint ventures and 245 enterprises with participation of Indian capital registered in Almaty city. The sides noted that participation of Indian companies in the special economic zone "Park of Innovative Technologies" is likely to become a powerful impetus in the development of bilateral cooperation. The Indian diplomat also expressed interest in expanding partnership in the sphere of tourism and a number of other projects. "This is my first visit to Almaty. It is a beautiful and modern city with unique nature. Almaty and India have a great potential for development of mutually profitable cooperation," Ambassador Harsh Kumar Kain added.
