Almaty to host charity ball, raise money for good causes

ALMATY. March 27. KAZINFORM Almaty will host the II Annual Charity Ball this Saturday.
The fundraiser is to be held in the support of 'Nur' Orphanage in the town of Talgar in Almaty region.
The orphanage founded by a married couple back in 1998 is a home for 110 children and teenagers. The building is in need of capital repairs. The organizers hope that money raised during the event will help reconstruct the old building and put up a playground for little orphans.
The analogous event in Astana last December was quite successful. The V Winter Charity Ball gave given an opportunity to 11 foster kids of SOS Children's Village Astana to enter universities and colleges based on the funds raised.
