Almaty to brace for heavy snowfall Feb 12

As much as 20 cm of snow will fall in Almaty on February 12 that is 40% more above normal, Kazinform News Agency reports.
226,000 cubic meters of snow were removed from the city streets so far.
Some 600 snow removal and plow vehicles, 176 compact machines for clearing snow from sidewalks, 1,220 road workers will be engaged in snow clearing operations since early February 12.
