Almaty stands a good chance to win 2022 Olympic bid as Oslo and Lviv in doubt

ASTANA. January 26. KAZINFORM Almaty's bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games may face strong competition only from two cities - Beijing and Krakow, web portal Vesti.kz refers to Insidethegames.biz.
As for Oslo, more than half of Norwegians are against the Government's decision to host the Winter Olympics, according to the recent poll. The Norwegian authorities have not withdrawn the bid yet, but who knows. There are doubts over Lviv's bid as well following the civil unrest and political instability in Ukraine.
Earlier both Stockholm and Munich shelved their plans to host the Olympiad as their respective governments refused to support the event with financial guarantees.
