Almaty sets up eco-industrial park

ASTANA. November 1. KAZINFORM An industrial zone of clean production is created on the area of nearly 500 hectares in Alatau district of Almaty city, Almaty Mayor Akhmetzhan Yessimov said during a press conference in the Central Communications Service, Kazinform refers to primeminister.kz.

"We are creating an eco-industrial park in Alatau district covering the area of 490 ha. in the Priority will be given to environmentally friendly production," Yessimov noted.
According to him, today more than 180 industrial enterprises are willing to participate in the project. In the future, it is planned to create about 20,000 jobs in the industrial zone.
The industrial park will help withdraw the existing enterprises from the center of the city, increase production volume in Almaty 1.5 times, attract resources and transfer of innovative technologies.
