Almaty Palace of Republic hosts meeting devoted to Independence Day

"Today we celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan. Stability, interfaith accord is the key principles of the independent Kazakhstan. Our people are united and tolerant," said in his welcoming speech Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov. According to his words, this day has a special value as it is a symbol of freedom and unity of Kazakhstanis. Today, according to the World Bank, income per capita in the country is above average. Moreover, Kazakhstan occupies 45th place in that ranking among 225 countries in the world. Our country engaged 50th line in the ranking of economic competitiveness. It should be noted that our state is in the group of countries with steadily growing economy. In conclusion Yessimov added that Kazakhstan has initiated the establishment of such international organizations as the SCO, the Customs Union, and the EEU.
