Almaty-Kuala Lumpur direct service to start in March

The Almaty-Kuala Lumpur direct flight will be launched this March, head of the tourism department of Almaty Galiya Tokseitova said.
She added direct air service is established between the city of Almaty and 42 destinations. As earlier reported, Kazakhstan expanded its list of visa-free countries to 82.
One of the key factors for the development of inbound tourism is the completion of the construction of a new terminal at the Almaty International Airport this June. The total passenger traffic of the airport is set to reach 14 million passengers a year. Thus, the number of international arrivals is projected to hit 520,000 in 2024.
