Almaty industrialization map includes 28 projects worth KZT 531 billion
The plan calls for the support of industrial enterprises, improvement of energy efficiency, launching of projects under SPFIID, attraction of investment, as well as enhancement of tourism and transport industry. Head of the city said that he first five-year plan of the state program on Forced Industrial-Innovative Development has completed this year. At present preparations are being carried out to launch the second five-year plan. Akim also noted that in 2013, the real growth of production in manufacturing industry compared to 2008 reached 151%. "High-tech industry is rapidly growing. Machinery - 120.8%, chemical industry - 127.9%, manufacturing of electrical equipment - 220%, furniture industry - 174.1%. Almaty city's industrialization map included 28 industrial and innovative projects worth KZT 531 billion. The projects will created more than 9 thousand jobs during the construction period and 5 thousand jobs during operation," Akhmetzhan Yesimov said. In turn, Minister for Investment and Development Issekeshev stressed the need for a joint action plan in order to coordinately solve the problems posed by the Head of State.
