Almaty and Astana agglomeration plans be ready by year-end, Zhamishev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Development of the complex development plans of Astana and Almaty agglomerations will be completed by the end of the year," Regional Development Minister Bolat Zhamishev told an international conference "Opportunities, conditions and recommendations for the development of Kazakhstan's regions".
"This year we should draft the complex development plans. The corresponding documents will be submitted soon. The key document is the planning master plan. The next stage is the development of the interregional schemes. Besides, relying on these schemes we will develop the master plans of population centres as part of agglomerations and more detailed documentation. As far as the agglomeration concerns also administration we develop a complex plan covering issues not included into the regional schemes,"Zhamishev added.
