During a ceremony awarding state honors and military ranks, President-Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized Kazakhstan is a peace-loving nation, honoring its past while looking toward the future, Qazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that conflicts should be resolved through negotiations and diplomacy.
He highlighted the importance of adhering to international law and strengthening friendly relations worldwide, principles enshrined in the new Constitution.
At the same time, he highlighted the need to build defense capacity, primarily to modernize the Armed Forces technologically, and carry out deep reforms of the Armed Forces and paramilitary forces within two years to meet the demands of today’s turbulent era.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised the dedication of Kazakhstan’s servicemen, calling the defense of the Fatherland the highest honor for true patriots and congratulated those who were awarded today new ranks and state awards.
Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated officers, soldiers, and guests during a ceremony awarding state honors and military ranks, on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day.
