5.6-magnitude quake hits 905 km from Almaty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Network of Seismic Stations of the Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science has recorded an earthquake today at 21:08 Almaty time.
"The epicenter of the earthquake was located in China, 905 km southeast of Almaty. The energy class of the earthquake was 12.0. MPV magnitude: 5.6. Coordinates of the epicenter: 41.24° N 87.50° E. Depth: 35 km," the report says.
