4.8M earthquake hits Afghanistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 struck Afghanistan on Tuesday at 10:19 a.m. Astana time (5:19 GMT), Kazakhstan’s National Data Center reports.

The epicenter was located at 36.79 degrees north latitude and 70.63 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 194 kilometers, said the Center.
Earlier, it was reported a 5.8 magnitude quake strikes northeastern Algeria.
