4.9-magnitude earthquake jolts Taraz and Almaty

ASTANA. August 24. KAZINFORM An earthquake shattered the city of Taraz in the Zhambyl region Saturday morning (August 24), Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Ministry for Emergency Situations.
The 4.9-magnitude earthquake that shook Taraz happened not far from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan border and was felt in Almaty.
No injuries or damages were reported.
