ALMATY. KAZINFORM - 1 200 people are on waiting list for organ transplants in Kazakhstan.
It was revealed at the V Congress of Surgeons of Kazakhstan in Almaty on Thursday (April 24). "The Syzganov Institute spent 70 years developing surgery in Kazakhstan. This is one of the leading surgery centers in the post-Soviet space. We have performed 177 organ transplantations and three heart surgeries over a three-year period," member of the Kazakh Parliament Nadezhda Petukhova said at the congress. The congress focused on the problems of surgery in Kazakhstan and making it more competitive.
