Young lovers commit suicide amid postponed wedding in Almaty
ALMATY. October 7. KAZINFORM A young couple committed suicide over the weekend in Almaty. Postponed wedding may have allegedly led to the suicides, the local police say.
The lifeless bodies of the 18-year-old bride and her 19-year-old fiancé were found hanging in the attic of one of the houses in Alatau district of Almaty city. The police discovered a bottle of vodka and two heartbreaking suicide notes left at the scene.
According to groom's mother, the young couple wanted to tie the knot. She asked her son to wait for six months, because her husband and his father died and the family was mourning his passing. The idea of postponing the wedding generated a feud between the guy and his mother and prompted the young people to take their lives, it is believed.
