“As of today, the water level in the Koksu River stands at 254 cm. The danger level is 339 cm. Water levels have risen, but the situation is not critical. Inspections have been carried out, and no erosion of riverbanks has been detected,” he said.

According to the regional emergency situations department, the region is currently experiencing the second wave of the flood season, which lasts from mid-April through June. It is associated with intensive snowmelt in mountainous areas located at elevations above 2,500–3,000 meters.

The agency emphasized that the flood situation in Zhetysu region remains stable, with hydrological monitoring stations operating around the clock under continuous observation.

In addition, the emergency situations department, together with local authorities and other relevant agencies, continues to closely monitor potentially hazardous areas.
