Warner Bros. to add two new DC-themed attractions to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi
Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have announced the addition of two new DC-themed attractions at Warner Bros. World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing WAM.
The first attraction, “Kryptonite Collider,” is scheduled to open to the public on July 26, 2026. The ride will place guests in the fictional city of Metropolis, where they will become participants in Lex Luthor’s “Everyman Project” before boarding a 32-seat centrifuge-style vehicle designed to simulate superhuman powers through motion, lighting and onboard audio effects.
The second attraction, “Superman Up and Away,” is expected to open in 2028. Described as a next-generation flying roller coaster, the ride will let guests experience flight alongside Superman as they embark on a mission to protect Metropolis.
Jonathan Brown, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said the new attractions mark another step in the ongoing development of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and reinforce the company’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.
“By introducing these two new experiences, we are creating new exciting, memorable and joyful experiences that further position Yas Island as a leading entertainment destination, while strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a premier tourism hub,” Brown said.
Simon Robinson, President of Global Experiences & Studio Operations at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the attractions reflect the company’s commitment to bringing its iconic characters and their universes to life through innovative guest experiences.
Since opening, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has featured six themed lands inspired by some of the studio’s most recognizable franchises and characters. The addition of two new DC attractions is expected to further enhance the park’s offerings for visitors and fans of the award-winning indoor theme park.
Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Abu Dhabi City Municipality had planted more than 2,000 trees in 2025 and planned to continue its efforts by planting an additional 5,000 trees in 2026 as part of a comprehensive landscaping project to enhance walkways and corridors across Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland.
