Uzbekistan to issue FIFA 26 commemorative coins
The Central Bank of Uzbekistan will release on June 18 special commemorative gold and silver coins to celebrate the country’s first-ever participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026, Qazinform News Agency reports citing the bank's press service.
Its obverse features the Uzbekistan Football Association logo, a classic football, and the inscription “Historic Victory. Uzbekistan at the World Cup — 2026.”
Its reverse displays the silhouette of a wolf, a symbol of the national team, nicknamed the “White Wolves.”
The bank will release limited editions of 100 gold coins and 1,000 silver coins, both minted in 999.9 purity.
Coins will be available through 690 branches of commercial banks across Uzbekistan.
It should be noted, Uzbekistan is one of four debutant teams at the 2026 World Cup, alongside Jordan, Cape Verde, and Curaçao.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s National Bank issued collector coins for FIFA World Cup 2026.
