This statement was made by the Kazakhstani leader during the expanded talks with President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, who is paying an official visit to Kazakhstan.

Tokayev highlighted that bilateral ties have steadily strengthened in recent years, with Kazakhstan and Montenegro maintaining active high-level political dialogue and frequent diplomatic consultations between their foreign ministries.

The establishment of Kazakhstan's Consulate General in Podgorica is a clear demonstration of our resolve to deepen bilateral ties. In this regard, we would welcome reciprocal steps to open a diplomatic mission of Montenegro in Astana in the foreseeable future. This will help strengthen the institutional foundation of our partnership, stated the Kazakh president.

President Tokayev also expressed gratitude to the Montenegrin side for opening the Abai Center at the National Library of Montenegro, timed to coincide with the 180th anniversary of the Kazakh poet and thinker.

The Kazakhstani leader also noted the expanding bilateral tourism between the two countries.

I would like to highlight that many citizens of Kazakhstan visit your beautiful country and return with the most positive impressions. I am convinced that this friendly channel of interaction and exchanges must be further maintained.
