Team KZ wins first map in CS2 finals at Games of the Future
Kazakhstan’s Team KZ claimed victory on the opening map of the CS2 Phygital Shooter final at the International Games of the Future 2026 in Astana, Qazinform News Agency reports.
In the decisive clash of the Games of the Future 2026 CS2 finals in Astana, Kazakhstan’s Team KZ faced off against Russia’s LIGA PRO TEAM.
The opening map, Dust 2, ended with a victory for the Kazakh esports squad, giving them the upper hand in the final match.
Player Zhasulan Assembek (botpa1) praised the atmosphere, noting the strong support from fans and the emotional boost of playing before a large audience.
The teams will continue the battle in the Neo Dala laser tag arena.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s NOVAQ team lost the bronze medal match to Belarus’s Minsk House.
To note, Argentina’s Franco Vitali lifted the Phygital Dancing trophy at the Games of the Future 2026.
